Indonesia is a country that is rich and variety in culture. The Indonesian islands are home to diverse of cultures and groups, each with their own languages and traditions. This diversity is a resource that should be thoroughly and thoughtfully explored, towards strengthening the unity of the Indonesian people. It is Djarum Foundation's goal to encourage collaborations and partnerships by supporting the continued preservation and evolution of Indonesia's artistic traditions.
Our Cultural Initiatives, which began in 1992, aim to support the creative energies of the Indonesian people and to build strong partnerships in an effort to raise the level of appreciation towards Indonesian culture.
It is hoped that our Cultural Initiatives will help create open spaces for expression, communication and appreciation. In this way, the uniting force of culture will lead to greater national unity. For loving our culture is the ultimate expression of our pride and love for our country.
